I have always been intrigued by baby dedications, I saw them in similar light to weddings. Such joy surrounds the wondrous event. Most amazing to witness is the posture and presentation of the parents; you will find great resolve in their stance, a radiant display of honor and pride.
Synonymous to marriage, dedicating your children to the Lord is a devout commitment. As a husband and dad of twins I am under 3 beautiful bonds, however, if I don't bind these bonds of love together in Christ Jesus they will be severed. I am a mere man and taking on the presidential office of Dad and Husband can be daunting. King Jesus has entrusted me with a gorgeous Godly wife and two perfect babies. 1 Samuel 1:8-28 is a complete example of asking, receiving and dedication. I must like Hannah vow my wife and kids to the Lord.
Our baby dedication was a success! Our family and friends gathered together to witness the event and take part in the fellowship and joy of God's wonderful gift of children. Benny Hester played some special music, such as: "Apple of my eye" and "When God Ran". We then went to Mario's and took over their back room. All 30 or so of us scarfed down chips and salsa and all sorts Mexican delicacies.
