Dr. Clayton

Dr. Clayton is Jamie's OBGYN. Rumor has it he delivered twins in a helicopter as it was crashing! I figured if he could pull that off our situation should be routine. Well, Jamie's pregnancy did pose some challenges but Dr. Clayton navigated them quite nicely. The night Jamie went into pre-term labor, Dr. Layton had his game face on and actually suggested that she be air-vacked to Long Beach if the Labor progressed. He predicted that Jamie would be in the hospital for 8 weeks before leaving. This proved to be a prophetic statement as Jamie was released from Hoag 8 weeks to the day!!

Jamie's sister, Summer, also had Dr. Clayton. Her husband, Ronnie, said he asked how long it would take for the C-section, Dr. Clayton replied with a precise time, to the minute. Ronnie quickly set his watch to the prediction. In the glorious moment of birth Ronnie realized that the oracle Dr. Clayton, called it to the minute.

Dr. Clayton would come and see Jamie at least once a day for 2 months in Hoag's antepartum. Toward the final days, Dr. Clayton told Jamie's nurses that he couldn't say "no" to Jamie, and that jamie reminded him of his daughter. It was funny to watch Clayton's face as Jamie would riddle him with questions...He would just smile and shake his head, they shared a special bond and he truly cared for Jamie and our twins.
Thank you Dr. Clayton, although you were not present to deliver our twins, your genuine care and dedication was God sent.
